RADIOHEAD- How I Made My Millions
transcription by Joey Gallagher (joeygallagher@hotmail.com)
(NOTE)- read these instructions carefully, do not e-mail me complaining
about how hard this is to understand unless you've actually read it and
can't figure it out.
I was holding off making this transcription until I was able to make a
better format than the Karma Police tab. But since not everyone can read
music this was the only way. This song has about a medium difficulty. This
tab shouldn't be that confusing because there are no chords in the song,
Thom just plays notes. Now this is not the kind of song you can just play by
looking at this tab. The whole thing is pretty damm accurate but you will
need to listen to segments of the song and then pause it and play it and
pause it...and so on, gradually learning your way through, this way you will
get the timing Thom uses for individual segments in this piece.
I'm always making corrections to my stuff especially this peice so check
back in once in a while.
(my lyrics are crap)
Now I came up with a sytem that I hope will help you play this song. I've
split the piano/keyboard into 3 sections encompasing 36 keys. When Thom is
playing he stays in these 3 sections.
The lowest note Thom hits is the deep(low) C# starting off the 2nd verse.
Since keyboard/Piano size's differ you'll have to find the low C# yourself,
it's not hard. Once you've found the deep C# go down the keyboard to your
right and then stop at the C key. All the keys from the original deep C#
down your right to the C key will be
section 1. (C# D Eb E F F# G Ab A Bb B C) got it. Now move over one key from
the C of section 1 to the next C# (12 keys from the original C#) from there
to the next C is Section 2. And from the 3rd C# to 3rd C is Section 3. For
example if the deep sounding C# was number 1 then section 1 would go from
keys 1-12, section 2 from 13-24 and section 3 from 25-36.
(from low to high sounding)
section 1 section 2 section 3
C#DEbEFF#GAbABbBC C#DEbEFF#GAbABbBC C#DEbEFF#GAbABbBC
Beside each note I will use a number either 1,2 or 3 telling you where on
the piano to hit it. 1 is a deep sounding note, 2 a medium note and 3 a high
note. In some parts you will be all over the 3 sections at the same time so
it can get tricky.
C# Eb F# Ab Bb
I hope eveyone knows the keys C D E F G A B C
(I'm sorry for all this boring writing but I want to make sure if someone is
learning this they will understand the song properly)
